MEDIA Sosial Facebook akan menghapus semua foto pengguna yang telah disinkronisasi ke aplikasi utama Facebook. Disebutkan, penghapusan foto para Facebooker itu dilakukan mulai 7 Juli 2016.
Bagi pengguna yang tidak ingin foto-fotonya terhapus, Facebook menyarankan para pengguna untuk segera mengunduh aplikasi Moments dan memindahkan semua dokumen foto ke dalam aplikasi tersebut sebelum 7 Juli 2016.
Dilansir Republika Online dari The Guardian, fitur sinkronisasi merupakan salah satu fitur penyimpanan foto milik Facebook yang dirilis pada 2012. Fitur ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk melakukan sinkronisasi foto dari ponsel ke album di Facebook.
Pada awal tahun ini, Facebook menyebutkan akan menghapus fitur sinkronisasi. Penghapusan fitur akan berdampak pada hilangnya foto-foto yang telah tersinkronisasi ke album pribadi pengguna di Facebook.
"Foto yang disinkronisasi ke album Facebook akan segera dihapus. Foto-foto akan dialihkan ke aplikasi Moments, aplikasi baru Facebook. Jika masih ingin menyimpan foto-foto Anda, maka segera download Aplikasi Moments sebelum 7 Juli. Jika tidak ingin men-downloadMoments, segera unduh foto-foto Anda sebelum 7 Juli," kata Facebook dalam pengumman resmi seperti dilansir The Guardian, Senin (13/6/2016).
Kendati demikian, penghapusan fitur sinkronisasi tidak akan memengaruhi foto atau video yang diunggah tidak melalui fitur tersebut.
