Meskipun Microsoft Lumia 535 dibekali processor yang sama persis dengan Nokia Lumia 530, namun kemampuannya tidak kalah hebat dan hampir setara dengan processor Lumia 630. Belum lagi dengan dukungan layar dan resolusi hingga RAM yang lebih besar serta kamera yang lebih baik dibanding Nokia Lumia 630.

Layar Microsoft Lumia 535 berukuran 5.0 inci dengan resolusi qHD 960x540 piksel kerapatan 220 ppi dan menggunakan jenis IPS. Di sektor hardware mengandalkan processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 Quad-Core 1.2 Ghz Cortex-A7 dibarengi GPU Adreno 302 dan RAM sebesar 1 GB. Kameranya sebesar 5 megapiksel lengkap dengan fitur autofokus, HDR, LED Flash dan kamera depan sebesar 5 megapiksel.
